Three Services, Three Situations
The Right Stall for What You're Dealing With
Each Lantern Row service is built for a specific situation โ not a general-purpose consultation that tries to cover everything and ends up being vague about all of it.
Back to HomeHow We Approach Every Engagement
Same preparation discipline across all three services โ what changes is the format, the output, and who it's for.
Understand First
For workshops, we ask about household income structure at booking. For filing and advisory, discovery is built into the first visit or session.
Adapt the Content
Templates, guides, and playbooks are adjusted to fit the actual situation โ not a generic version that assumes a standard household or organisation.
Hand Over Everything
Every service ends with physical materials in the client's hands. Nothing is hosted on our platform, nothing requires a login to access after the session.
Check Back In
A follow-up call or check-in is built into each service at no extra cost. Questions that only emerge during real use are answered then.
Service 01
Household Budget Basics Workshop
RM 450 per participant ยท 3 hours ยท Weekend
A three-hour Saturday or Sunday morning session for groups of up to twelve. The workshop introduces everyday household budgeting habits โ listing monthly income and expenses, separating needs from wants, building a simple tracking sheet, and setting realistic saving targets for things like school fees or festive seasons.
The session is purely educational. We share general tools and habits, not recommendations about any product, provider, or individual financial situation. The facilitator works through each section with the group, allowing time for questions and for participants to work on their own figures.
What's Included
- Three-hour facilitated session with a trained facilitator
- Printed workbook (yours to keep)
- Spreadsheet template (works on phone, tablet, or desktop โ no account required)
- Group follow-up call two weeks after the session
Session Outline
- 1Listing all monthly income sources, including irregular income from trade or rental
- 2Mapping fixed and variable expenses; separating needs from wants
- 3Building a simple monthly tracking sheet that works with the household's actual pattern
- 4Setting saving targets for upcoming known expenses (school fees, Hari Raya, school holidays)
- 5Q&A and personal workbook time; follow-up call date confirmed
Service 02
Documents & Records Home Filing Setup
RM 2,300 ยท Two visits (~3 hours total) ยท At your home
A structured two-visit service that sets up a complete household record system. We come to your home, bring all the materials, and build a system that a family member or carer can maintain without additional training. Suitable for families, carers managing a household for an elderly parent, and small home offices.
At the end of the second visit, every document the household holds regularly โ identity documents, vehicle road tax, utility accounts, insurance certificates, school records โ is sorted, labelled, scanned to the family's own device or cloud account, and indexed. A renewal calendar marks when each category of document needs attention.
What's Included
- Two home visits (first: sort and label; second: scan, index, and calendar)
- Complete labelled folder set (all folders and labels supplied by Lantern Row)
- Digital scans stored on the household's own device or cloud account
- One-page master index of all folders
- Renewal calendar for documents with expiry dates
- Printed how-to guide so the system is easy to hand over to another household member
Visit Outline
- 1Visit One: Sort through existing documents together; agree on folder categories; label and organise the physical system
- 2Visit Two (a few days later): Scan key documents to the household's own storage; build the master index and renewal calendar; walk the household through using the printed guide
Service 03
Community Organisation Operations Advisory
RM 4,500 ยท Eight weeks ยท B2B engagement
An eight-week consulting engagement for community centres, residents' committees, and small non-profits that want to run their front-desk and outreach work more smoothly. The scope covers intake and enquiry-handling, volunteer rota design, plain-language document templates, simple record-keeping, and a lightweight monthly reporting format.
The engagement focuses on the operational and process side of the organisation only โ not fundraising, governance, or regulated activities. The final deliverable is a written operations playbook the organisation owns outright and can update and share without any further involvement from Lantern Row.
What's Included
- Discovery workshops with staff and volunteers (Weeks 1โ2)
- Written operations playbook covering all agreed scope areas
- Two staff training sessions on the playbook and new processes
- Plain-language document templates (enquiry log, rota template, monthly report)

- 3Weeks 6โ7: Two training sessions; pilot new processes with staff and volunteers
- 4Week 8: Final playbook handover; debrief; 30-day check-in scheduled

Standards That Apply Across All Services
These aren't service-specific โ they apply to every booking, every visit, every engagement.
No Retention of Personal Documents
During filing visits, we handle household documents carefully and do not retain or photograph anything without prior agreement. We scan to the client's own device โ not to our systems.
Materials Reviewed Every Quarter
Workbooks, templates, and folder guides are reviewed every three months to reflect current document renewal windows, utility structures, and local administrative norms.
Staff Competency Before Client Work
New staff complete a minimum of four observed sessions plus an internal competency check before they lead any client-facing work independently.
No Product Referrals
We do not refer clients to financial products, insurance providers, or legal services. All content in sessions and advisory work is driven by what is straightforward and practical.
Feedback After Every Engagement
All participants complete a short feedback form. Responses are reviewed and used to update session content, pacing, and materials on an ongoing basis.
50% Deposit, Balance on Completion
For the filing setup and advisory engagement, a 50% deposit is collected at booking and the balance on completion of the first visit or discovery session. Full payment applies to the workshop.
